Referral for medical appointments with the Dermatologist

A referral is required for all new patients.

There are several common medical skin conditions treated at Victoria Park Medispa (The Derm Centre) that include:

• Acne
• Psoriasis
• Rosacea
• Skin Cancer/Mole Checks

If you are concerned about a medical skin condition and need to see Dr. Taraska, please have your family physician send a referral to our office.

Important to note that all medical skin conditions require a referral letter from your family physician or walk in clinic before Dr. Taraska can consider you as a patient or provide a medical consultation. After we receive the referral from your Physician, you will be contacted with an appointment date and time and the appointment will be covered by your Provincial Health Insurance (ie Manitoba Health).

Medical appointments with the Family Physicians (GP) Please note that cosmetic skin concerns (e.g. Botox®, Fillers, Lasers, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion) are NOT insured by your provincial health care and do NOT require a referral. If your concern is of a cosmetic nature, then please visit the Book your Free Cosmetic Consultation page or call the clinic at 204-474-1221 to make an appointment.

Dr. Patel, our family physician, who practices on Saturdays, is currently accepting new patients for Acne and Warts. Please contact the clinic directly to book an appointment with her.

Dr. Glover, our general practitioner, who practices on Mondays and Saturdays, is currently accepting new patients for Acne and Warts. Please contact the clinic directly to book an appointment with her.

Please note that Dr. Patel and Dr. Glover are NOT Dermatologists, therefore they do not require a referral.

*Important note: We are NOT performing cosmetic mole removal at our clinic at this time.
