Referral for medical appointments with the Dermatologist

A referral is required for all new patients.

There are several common medical skin conditions treated at Victoria Park Medispa (The Derm Centre) that include:

• Acne
• Psoriasis
• Rosacea
• Skin Cancer/Mole Checks

If you are concerned about a medical skin condition and need to see Dr. Taraska, please have your family physician send a referral to our office.

Important to note that all medical skin conditions require a referral letter from your family physician or walk in clinic before Dr. Taraska can consider you as a patient or provide a medical consultation. After we receive the referral from your Physician, you will be contacted with an appointment date and time and the appointment will be covered by your Provincial Health Insurance (ie Manitoba Health).

Our family physician who does not require a referral, Dr. Patel will be accepting for cosmetic mole removal for lesions no larger than 4mm.

Medical appointments with the Family Physicians (GP) Please note that cosmetic skin concerns (e.g. Botox®, Fillers, Lasers, Chemical Peels, Microdermabrasion) are NOT insured by your provincial health care and do NOT require a referral. If your concern is of a cosmetic nature, then please visit the Book your Free Cosmetic Consultation page or call the clinic at 204-474-1221 to make an appointment.

Dr. Patel is currently accepting new patients for Acne, Warts, Rosacea, Melasma, Eczema, Palmar Dermatitis, Actinic Keratosis, Seborrheic Keratosis, Keloid Scars, and Skin Tags. Please contact the clinic directly to book an appointment with them.

Dr. Glover is NOT accepting new patients at this time.

Please note that Dr. Patel is NOT a Dermatologist, therefore do not require a referral.
